What to Expect

Implementation of Social Distancing Strategies:

  • Parents will be asked to pre-register their children

    • A sign-up genius link will be available on our website and social media

      • Please delete your sign up if plans change to re-open spots for other Bridge Kids - thank you

    • Class sizes will be limited

  • Lessons and crafts will be designed with social distancing in mind

  • When a child finishes playing with a toy it will be put away in a bucket for later cleaning; children may not play with a toy that has already been played with until it has been sanitized

  • We ask that the same parent/guardian that drops off a child be the same parent/guardian at pick up if at all possible

Implementation of Screening Procedure:

  • Parent/guardian will be asked to self-screen their child at home for any signs of illness.

    • Child Wellness Policy: If your child is ill, they should not be in the Bridge Kids area. Her are some signs of sickness:

      • Fever

      • Diarrhea

      • Persistent runny nose with substantial discharge

      • Lethargy

      • Hacking or wet-sounding cough

Intensified Cleaning and Disinfecting Efforts:

  • We will be providing and encouraging the use of hand sanitizer for ages 2 and up

  • Cleaning will occur before and after service; deep cleaning will take place between Sundays

  • Rooms will be disinfected with a CDC-approved spray before each Sunday

  • Healthy Hand Hygiene Behavior will be practiced

    • Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If hands are not visibly dirty, alcohol-based hand sanitizers with at least 60% alcohol can be used if soap and water are not readily available.

    • Supervise children when they use hand sanitizer to prevent ingestion.

Other items to be aware of:

  • Parents may bring milk or formula

  • All Bridge Kid volunteers and staff will go through training on proper procedures and protocol

  • Best practices will be continuously monitored and adjusted when needed

  • The Texas Health and Human Services Health Protocols for employees and volunteers will be followed.
